Description

Bringing new life to a classic—this is my 2025 remix of the Aku Aku mask from Crash Bandicoot. It's based on my 2017 remix of mvsvalero design. This latest version comes with several improvements for better print quality, easier printing, and reduced filament use. The result is a full-sized mask (~44 cm, ~193 g). Also added print profiles for 75 % (~32 cm, ~104 g) and 50 % (~20 cm, ~41 g) scale of full-sized one.

Adjustments made:

  • Scaled eyes to same thickness
  • Redesigned wooden board
    • ~50 % lighter
    • Wooden texture on both sides
    • Adjusted screw hole sizing
    • Printed vertically with brim for cleanest look
  • Redesigned feathers
    • ~50 % lighter
    • Added small fillet to feather / attachment point to make it stronger
    • Removed top texture and mirrored models (bottom is now visible part)
    • Resized second feather width for better balance

All printed pieces are glued onto the wooden board. I might change this at some point and create pins etc. for easier assembly.

August 29, 2025:

  • First release (Full, 75 % and 50 % scale)

Pair this with my Uka Uka mask to complete the classic Crash Bandicoot duo!
