MP5SD Conversion Kit

*ATTENTION: THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. IT WORKS CURRENTLY AS INTENDED, HOWEVER, IMPROVEMENTS ARE BEING DESIGNED AND WILL BE UPLOADED*

MP5-SD Conversion handguard. I'm not sure I need to explain that further. This handguard SHOULD fit aftermarket rubber handguards from places like Broad River Tact. or HKParts. This is also designed to for use  with the TRI-Lug system.

Inner Handguard Printed in Bambu PA6-CF, which I then Annealed for 9-hours in a 195F/90.5C oven. This comes out insanely strong.

Assembly of the outer handguard and outer handguard,"Springsteel"  is straight forward. Glue the thin, inner handguard inside the ribbed outer handguard. The outer, ribbed portion is made to be printed from TPU, however, I have not yet done that. I printed it in PLA for test fitting.  The outer handguard assembly will slide over from the muzzle end when installed. 

SOME FITTING MAY BE REQUIRED AS DIFFERENT MODELS MAY HAVE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS. NAMELY, THE FORWARD PIN HOLES MAY NEED SOME LIGHT FILING. YOU MAY ALSO NEED TO FIT THE OUTER HANGUARD PORTION.

I have a current version which has alignment pins for the ribbed/spring steel inner handguard assembly, as well as the plastic tabs traditionally seen at the top center of the handguard, but, I have not had time to fit those, yet. 

Materials:

-Inner Handguard: Bambu Labs PA6-CF( Annealed @ 195F/90.5C 9 hours)

-Outer Handguard Spring Steel: Bambu Labs PA6-CF (( Annealed @ 195F/90.5C 4 hours)

-Ribbed Outer Handguard: Bambu Labs Matte Charcoal PLA( TPU will  give a more realistic feel, but I have not tested that, yet)
