Heart Box

My wife was using a heart shaped cardboard box to hold things.  We can’t have that can we?  So, I made this for her! 

Print Profile:

In 0.20mm Standard, essentially there are 2 size options for the boxes.  Either can print in under an hour without supports.  On a 3rd plate is an edge painted version of the smaller size. 

• Plate1: 26mm Scale
  • Overall length & width is about 92mm.  Holds a bag of Skittles if you share some 😉
• Plate2: 20mm Scale
  • Overall length & width is about 70mm.  The lid overhang is extended for aesthetics and is the same height as the version on plate 1.
• Plate3: Painted - 20mm Scale, with the same dimensions as plate 2.

Version 1.  I’m sure that there are other models just like this one.  I wanted to make my own so I didn’t bother looking for references.  Now that I have though, I’m happy to make adjustments if there is any feedback.  I hope you have the opportunity to make/print a gift for your loved ones too.

Version 2 Update: Wow, there are a lot of great designs out there!  We’re still happy with this one and some more options might still be nice.  She did request that I make a version closer to the size of her cardboard heart box so I have updated the existing profile with a scaled down version.  I also included a painted edge version that it inspired (shown in the picture).  Lastly, the new picture shows reprinted lids.  Supports and ironing didn’t work out very so I used a smooth plate.  The smooth top to the lids is much nicer we think.
