With all of the different filaments out there and printers with closed systems, I was trying to think of a better way to keep track of my filament inventory. I was already using an application but I kept forgetting to remove empty spools or update the remaining amounts so my inventory in the system was never right. I wanted to find a way to automate that so I wouldn't forget. I believe this does that and quite a bit more. I would consider it all beta so you may find some bugs here and there.

I thought the ability of the AMS HT and AMS 2 to rotate spools while drying was pretty awesome so I set out to figure out a simple way to add that capability to my Space Pi. This should work with any spool that has a 55mm hub diameter and should work in other dryers but it if not, it would be fairly simple to modify.

Having to remember to open the SUNLU Heater vent when you start heating and then close it again when the heater kicks off is inconvenient. This mod fixes that by automatically opening and closing the vent whenever the heater starts and stops. It requires no permanent modifications to either the SUNLU heater or the AMS unit. I will offer a handful of complete PCBs up in the next couple of months for anyone that would like to make this but doesn't want to delve into the electronics side.
