I’m an active duty Navy machinist who somehow decided that working with lathes and mills all day wasn’t enough metal and machinery for one lifetime—so now I spend my off-hours with an ever-growing army of 3D printers, laser engravers, and CNC machines. What started as simple rapid prototyping has evolved into a full-blown obsession with tools and technology. I spend more time tuning tools than making things—it’s not procrastination, it’s “preventive maintenance.” My power bill could light a small village, but that’s just the cost of keeping the robots happy.

Hold the hot ends great. Printed a lid for the box to hold everything in place, and added 2 filament changes so I can easily see which nozzle is installed in the printer.

I printed it out of ASA, because that’s the only material I had all the right colors for. Bit overkill for this, but it is probably one of my favorite fidgets now.
