Description

TLDR:

My print profile includes common sizes:

  • Imperial: 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" (x2), 1/2" (x2), 5/8" (x2), 3/4" (x2)
  • Metric: 6mm to 20mm (in 1mm increments)

Or make a custom size:

  • Use the Customize button above.  You must use (or convert to) metric parameters.
  • Download the included Fusion 360 file and change parameters (MODIFY > Change Parameters)

----------------------------

I wanted custom size hole plugs, low profile plugs AND really cute plugs.  I wasn't sure a 3d printer could pull this off but it sure did.

Trick to make them look so good is to sand the top with 180 or 220 grit, and optionally spray painting.  I printed on the Bambu Lab textured PEI plate, which left a strong texture but with no voids.  The sanding thins down the cap and leaves a smooth, matte top for paint to fill.  TPU works great too.

A Fusion 360 file with parameters (MODIFY > Change Parameters) lets you customize these.  And now you can edit with MakerWorld's Parameteric Model Maker.

Also included plugs sized for 3/8" holes with 1/8" and 3/16" depths.

Model features:

Tip: slightly countersink/chamfer/deburr the holes if the cap doesn't sit flush.
