Works well in principle. Do not use Matte PETG unless you have it dialled in very well. Mine split on the first removal. I am confident normal PETG would be a lot stronger. Without trying I cannot say if a design issue or a me issue... I am erring on me, but maybe with a slight modification it could be stronger around the area where the retaining ring forms the cylinder, that is where mine split as it can be difficult to remove the spools from the U1

Hi, thank you! Never had that problem or heard anyone having it. I use Matte PETG too.. But just in case i added a chamfer to the mentioned area, maybe try that again if you want.

Thanks, worth trying for sure. When I get some time I will run some off and let you know how I got on. I do suspect it is more a tuning of filament issue as I have had that filament also fall apart on some other models. As in split on layer lines....
