👣 My Latest 3D Printing Project: The Sock Catcher

In a family of five, sorting socks after washing can be quite annoying – eventually, it became too tedious for me. That's why I developed a small yet practical model that I call the Sock Catcher

With it, pairs of socks can be washed together directly and then hung on the hook to dry – no more tedious searching or sorting

I printed the whole thing from TPU, which proved particularly robust and flexible. I also tested a version made of ABS, however, this one is considerably thinner

💡 Tip: It's best to print the Sock Catcher in different colors – that way, each family member has their own color and mix-ups are prevented

The material should be chosen to withstand washing temperatures up to 90 °C

In a family of five, sorting socks after doing laundry can get pretty annoying — at some point, I just got tired of it. So I designed a small but practical model I call the Sock Catcher

With it, you can wash pairs of socks together and hang them up to dry right on the hook — no more searching or sorting

I printed it using TPU, which turned out to be very durable and flexible. I also tried a version in ABS, but that one came out much thinner

💡 Tip: Choose a material that can withstand washing temperatures of up to 90 °C. It also works great to print each family member’s Sock Catcher in different colors — that way, everyone instantly knows which socks are theirs
