Winning BONBON contest Tips 🤫 Shhhhh.....I love seeing all these entries, keep them coming!It's been a long journey since march 3rd 2025, the day i decided to start the world of Pipin officially. To those who was here since the start, you would notice i started my design journey from entering contest back to back, i don't see the regular followers much lately so i hope it means they are just too busy but if you are reading this now, Hello! Contest has been a blessing and a curse, the pressure of not winning was always difficult to handle, but overtime i noticed something, the more i entered, the less i become worry about the outcome and most importantly i noticed my modelling skills improved and eventually confident enough to create my full vision. I wanted to share that magic with you all and especially those who still hone their craft with human modelling, these designs takes a tremendous of time and dedications and i think this small format create a good platform to test out your theories without demanding too much print time and material cost.Most importantly…HAVE FUNFinally what you are here for : Winning tips BONBON is printable emotion, something that is inherently not possible to print, its the feeling of surprise and joy in a physical form, so think about the moment of opening a capsule to reveal what's inside.  I heavily discourage the use of pure AI generative designs in this contest, a simple, basic model that invoke feelings is much more important than a highly detailed figure. Playability is a huge bonus, something that enrich others time is a great experience for the bonbon users. Printability is a considering factor, as someone who use minimal supports and no glue for my designs, i would like to see similar approaches. But if you must use either of them, i hope you can make the support easy to separate. but these are just tips from me. Your mission if you choose to accept it. is to…SURPRISE THE WORLD!

Designing The Friendly Mimic of Pipin WorldThe treasure chest has been on my list for a long time. As I slowly build the world of Pipin and its creations, this chest represents a big step forward — not just as a storage box, but as a marker of style, storytelling, and design focus. With it, I’m consolidating the look and proportions of Pipin World, laying the foundation for future 3D printed objects. In Pipin World, fun always comes first, and ease of printing follows right after. So I didn’t want to make just another regular chest — there are plenty of those already on MakerWorld. I wanted to add that extra element of joy and surprise. That’s where the Mimic comes in. But unlike the scary versions you’ve seen in games and fantasy stories, my Mimic has its own twist: it’s friendly. It guards your items faithfully, and with the right key and locking mechanism, it offers a little spark of ownership and wonder every time someone interacts with it. This is only my second design involving mechanical parts, and I still have a lot to learn. But I’m enjoying every step — especially seeing the feedback roll in. Best Sandcastle Building Policy🏖️ Field Test: The Pipin Sandcastle Kit Hits the Beach!Today I finally got to take the Pipin Sandcastle Kit out into the wild — and wow, watching it come to life was pure magic.There were some things I worried about going in... and yes, a few of them did show up. The sand here in Hong Kong has larger grains, which I thought might blur out the sculpted details — but surprise! The mould design held up beautifully. The details are bold enough to still pop, even in chunkier sand.However, the real challenge came with surface tension. The sand didn’t quite "glue" together as easily as I hoped, which made stacking multiple layers tricky. My original dream of a towering multi-level pagoda needed a little adjustment. The best way to build it, I found, is:Start large at the base → place the medium mould on top (while still closed) → finish with the peak layer → and open each tier one at a time, carefully.Once you get the rhythm, it’s SO satisfying.Honestly, it was just a blast to play with. People were constantly coming up to ask about it — and I couldn’t be prouder to finally share it. So here it is: the Pipin Magical Sandcastle Kit, ready for you to print, clamp, and play with in your own favorite sand.✨ Enjoy — and Happy Summer!
