The mechanism uses a rotating ring that automatically centers the object within the engraving area. No measurements, no eyeballing, no geometric suffering. 😂 And it’s exactly the kind of tool that seems unnecessary… until you have to align 20 pieces in a row.

For the new xTool F2 Ultra I’m starting to design a whole series of 3D printed alignment jigs for the work bed. This is the first one, made specifically for stone coasters. Its job is simple: always place the piece perfectly centered and square within the engraving area. That way the laser camera gets a proper view of the object and aligning the artwork becomes much easier. Because yes… technically spending 20 minutes trying to align a crooked coaster is still a workflow. 😅

Today I’d like to share with you the B-Monitor project, a new project I’m currently working on. The idea is to create a “monitoring console” for Bambu printers, independent from the cloud and from external platforms like Home Assistant. It was born from the need to keep an eye on printers located in another room without having to use my phone or keep Bambu Studio open on my computer. I’m only on my second day of work—currently in the scouting and testing phase—but I have to say things look promising. If I succeed and manage to achieve everything I have in mind, I’ll obviously share the project, complete with all the hardware specifications and a proper enclosure for the device. It’s not something I’m working on full-time, but I share progress updates on Instagram, where you can find me under the name One Maker Show.
