I designed this automatic closing trash bin out of pure frustration—I kept leaving the lid open! Smells, flies, and escaping trash annoyed me, so I created a simple, no-electronics solution. The lid closes itself smoothly, with an optional magnet version for an even better feel. If stiff, a quick touch with a lighter (🔥) and full lid movements will fix it.
