A New Way to Support the Pieksekisten Project
Hi Makers,Since the Pieksekisten Design Contest began, we’ve seen an incredible amount of support from the community. Many of you shared kind words. Many of you submitted designs. And some of you asked a simple question:Is there a way to help, even if I’m not submitting a model?Today, the answer is yes. We’ve created a new Pieksekisten Project Points Donation page, where MakerWorld users can choose to donate their points to @JamesDaRock in support of this project. This is the first time points donation has been introduced for a charity initiative on MakerWorld, and it comes directly from something we heard from the community: a real desire to help. Why this matters@JamesDaRock and his family have spent years supporting children in pediatric cancer care through Pieksekisten — small boxes filled with toys and little surprises that bring comfort after difficult treatments. The design contest was created to help fill those boxes with safe, joyful 3D printable models. But along the way, many community members wanted to contribute in other ways too.Since there wasn’t previously a clear path for point donations tied to a project like this, we built a simple way to make that possible. How it worksVisit the Pieksekisten Project — Points Donation pageEnter the number of points you’d like to donateAfter donating, your name and donated points will appear on the page, making your support part of this shared community effortDonors may also receive a warm thank-you message from @JamesDaRockMakerWorld will transfer the donated points to @JamesDaRock to help provide the 3D printers, filaments, and related supplies needed to keep creating gifts for children in treatment.Donation PeriodStart: April 21End: June 1The main donation campaign runs during this period, alongside the contest. You can also view the contest page here:👉 https://makerworld.com/en/contests/138?The donation page will remain available after June 1 so the community can continue to visit the page and follow the project.A small way to make a real differenceNot everyone can contribute in the same way — and that’s exactly why this matters.Whether you design, print, share, or donate a few points, you’re helping turn creativity into something meaningful for children who are going through an incredibly hard time.If you’d like to be part of that, we’d love to invite you to join in.👉 Visit the Pieksekisten Project Points Donation Page Thank you for continuing to make this community generous, creative, and full of heart. ❤️
