This specific puzzle highlights the iconic region where humanity first set foot on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. Representing an area of approximately 25 kilometers in diameter, it captures an incredible level of close-up detail. As you piece it together, you are literally reconstructing the exact lunar landscape of the historic landing site!

This is not just a standard jigsaw puzzle; it is a tactile, topographical model where the challenge lies entirely in the unique shapes of the pieces and the intricate details of the craters. To make assembling and displaying your masterpiece even better, a custom frame is included with this model.

Print Profiles Included

The profiles are neatly organized across the build plates to make your printing experience as smooth as possible:

• Plate 1: All 91 puzzle pieces.
• Plate 2: The custom display frame.

Available Profiles:

• 0.12mm Layer Height (High Detail): Highly recommended for the best results. This profile beautifully captures the finest topographical lines, ridges, and the subtle depths of the craters for a stunningly realistic finish.
• 0.16mm Layer Height (Balanced Speed): Optimized for a faster print time while still maintaining a great balance of surface detail. Perfect if you want to get the puzzle off the build plate and start playing sooner.
• A1 Mini Versions: The puzzle pieces are spread out across multiple plates to perfectly fit the smaller build volume. Note: Due to bed size limitations, the frame is not included in the A1 Mini profile.
• Snap-on Cover: A protective cover that clicks perfectly onto the puzzle + frame assembly to keep everything securely together. The cover features three different design options:
  • Secondary Color Text: Features raised text designed for multi-color printing.
  • Engraved Text: Features clean, debossed text that prints beautifully in a single color.
  • No Text: A completely clean, minimalist cover.

Printing Recommendations

• Clean Print Bed (Crucial): It is highly important to start with a perfectly clean print bed. This ensures the first layer of all individual puzzle pieces adheres flawlessly and prevents any warping or shifting.
• Material: Standard PLA or Matte PLA works wonderfully.
• Color Recommendations:
  • Puzzle Pieces (Plate 1): For the most authentic lunar aesthetic, I highly recommend using PLA Matte Ash Gray, Basic Gray, or PLA Matte Ivory White.
  • Frame (Plate 2): Use a stark contrasting color like Black to really make the moon texture pop!
• Supports: 100% support-free. All pieces and the frame are designed to print completely flat on the build plate.
• Infill: 10–15% is more than sufficient for a sturdy, premium feel without wasting filament.

Important Note for First Use: Due to the tight tolerances required for a satisfying, seamless fit, separating the puzzle pieces for the very first time right off the build plate might require a little patience. Don't worry—they will loosen up just the right amount after the first separation, making subsequent puzzling a smooth and enjoyable experience!
