Created by Maximillion Pegasus drawing inspiration from ancient Egyptian tablets, the other personnel involved in the creation of the God cards mysteriously perished. He discovered that ordinary individuals lacked the capacity to wield such divine power—using them would invite divine wrath—and thus entrusted them to the Egyptian Archaeological Bureau, where they were sealed away. Later, Mariik Ishtar stole them, aiming to use them in a duel with Atem during the Battle City tournament, seeking revenge on the pharaoh's soul residing within the Millennium Puzzle.
