Description

A-10 Thunderbolt II scale model. Approximately 20" long

.16 mm layer height for all parts, except those with layer height modifiers

Most parts are joined with cyanoacrylate glue. Some hand fitted and sanding will be required. This is a more advanced build project.

The front landing gear wheel is held in place with a piece of the black filament, heated and flattened with a lighter.

Did you paint the wings/fuselage or is that the color of the filament. Looks great 😎 nicely done

that’s just the PLA Basic filament. I did print it at .12 which made a big difference. thank you!

Thete can be gaps between sections if the first layer isn’t kept flat. That’s really a machine/filament/build surface dependent and case by case. I had some small gaps at the edges, but nothing I was displeased about.

Hi, ive printed this wonderfull model and i'm building it right now. Small comment tho ; there are not enough dowels to connect te wings. part : Body1-Dowel-Connector on plate 10. There are 6 dowels, however the wings require 8 dowels total, 4 per complete wing. No problem just printed some extra but wanted to let you know. + It also looks like there a no large dowels to connect the base wing to the fuselage. But still beautiful model !, will post a photo when completed.

The dowels are in the supplemental files. I put a note in the description mentioning this. I will add them to the main sliced files when I get a chance.

This is a cool model, but it could heavily benefit from a pdf on how to assembe it, the body and wings you can guess your way through, but the landing gear and wheels are another story.

this is my second time printing this, and this time I cant get the fan blades to print. first time no issues, second it shows the fan blades floating in the air now and wont print? and both profiles are still missing the pins to fit the wings to the body.

Would be better if the gun in the front of the plane was printed as part of the plane.

Unfortunately to keep the real scale, that would be near impossible. I had to used a .2mm nozzle to get the detail. Also, i have it on a bearing so it actually spins

Hello, Can you give me the wingspan please. Is it normal to have only 3 parts for 1 wing. it seems small to me. Thank you.
