Description
This model is a battery charger model for the Canon 1Ds battery. (Canon NP-E3)
You will need a dead battery to retrieve the battery contacts and springs that are used in this model.
There are 3 parts to print, base, spacer and battery holder.
Instructions
- remove the battery terminals from a dead Canon NP-E3 battery pack
- insert the terminals with springs into the printed base (tight fit - will be held by friction)
- feed a twin core cable through the base and solder to the battery terminals (assembly illustrated in the the third image above)
- optionally add some hot glue to the inside of the cable hole to secure the cables
- insert the spacer into the base
- press the battery holder into the base - (it is a tight fit) and secure with a few drops of superglue (as per the fourth image above)
Drop in your battery and attach to a 12v DC battery charger power supply.
