  • Contacts x 2: Battery terminals salvaged from a dead Canon NP-E3 battery pack

Description

This model is a battery charger model for the Canon 1Ds battery. (Canon NP-E3)

You will need a dead battery to retrieve the battery contacts and springs that are used in this model.

There are 3 parts to print, base, spacer and battery holder.

Instructions

  1. remove the battery terminals from a dead Canon NP-E3 battery pack
  2. insert the terminals with springs into the printed base (tight fit - will be held by friction)
  3. feed a twin core cable through the base and solder to the battery terminals (assembly illustrated in the the third image above)
  4. optionally add some hot glue to the inside of the cable hole to secure the cables
  5. insert the spacer into the base
  6. press the battery holder into the base - (it is a tight fit) and secure with a few drops of superglue (as per the fourth image above)

Drop in your battery and attach to a 12v DC battery charger power supply.
