Description

Are you looking for something to do with all of the boxes left over from Christmas deliveries and packaging? Why not turn them into another toy!? Build forts, costumes, or really anything. Check out the other parts of the collection here: https://makerworld.com/en/u/889139689/collections/153028

Edit 1/25/2024:

Tapered opening of toolhead to address slipping on screws. The taper should make this compatible with unmodified screws as well as any that were modified to feature a larger head to address slipping with the tool (~8.25mm → ~9mm hexagon should fit). Existing handles will still work with this update.

Edit 1/19/2024:

Addressed weakness causing tool head to split along layer lines by reorienting the tool head and adding more wall loops. Existing handles will still work with this update.

Edit 12/22/2023:

Widened the pin hole for the driver head and shrank the poking tool for easier assembly. Everything still locks tightly into place.

This model is a screwdriving tool for cardboard screws, compatible with Makedo kits. The handle for this tool was inspired by the folding tool with but is fastened with all printed hardware instead of machine screws.

printing the tool tip in abs worked better than pla. abs was more rigid.

Hi did it fail in some way? It might be something I can adjust. Send a pic if you have it

after further inspection, both the pla and the abs prints developed cracks that cause them to slip and not properly drive the screws

I was able to make mine fail like this and updated the profile with a fix. I was rounding the screws before the screwdriver failed, let me know if this worked for you!

parts don't fit tight, (slight layer problem on studs that go through part and popped, so joined parts wobbled, took 3 times pulling apart to realize it seperated layers but didn't disconnect)

I printed two of these in the last week and they fit perfectly.

that was my bad, I had a slight issue printing the studs holding parts together

I'm finding the socket tool head a little loose when fastening the bolts. wonder if I can slightly scale up the bolts for a more snug fit. or possibly recreate the socket attachment to better fit the existing bolt. otherwise love! feels really solid

i brought just the socket tool head in to tinkercad and made the hexagon 1mm smaller and now it doesn't slip when tightening the screws!

Thanks for the idea! I updated it with a tighter fit but left used a taper in case any screws were upscaled so it should be the best of both worlds. The fit is still a little loose so it's easy to use but it won't round the heads of the screw now.

awesome! thank you! I find the extra 1mm still gives wiggle but still maintains the fit, so now when my girls force it, it doesn't slip!

Super print! easy to put together. Everything works as it should. The only thing I would love to see in a future version is the tips are interchangeable with ease since they're all essentially the same handle.
