Description

This cap is designed to push onto the end of a plunge saw guide rail with a snug fit so it wont fall off. The end prevents cables and hoses snagging on the end of the rail.

There is a cut out so clamps can still be used with it in place.

There is a central cut-out so the rail can still be hung up when not in use to keep it safe.

It has been made to fit a Makita rail so will also fit any Festool pattern rails as well which do not normally fit Makita due to the anti tip rail it has.

Can be printed in PLA or PETG, I have done both and both work well.

It must be printed with at least a 5mm brim and the track slot facing down (see the attached images). Tree support can be used to help smooth the central cut-out but they are not necessary.

great print, fits Milwaukee rails, not a perfect fit but with enough “flex” it will work perfectly as intended.

Thanks for the feedback. Where about does it not fit perfectly? Is there a feature on Milwaukee rails that is different to Makita? If you are able to give me any more details I could perhaps make a Milwaukee one for the future. Also it looks awesome in Red!

I don’t have another rail to verify other than Milwaukee, but my understanding is the profile is slightly different. The saws can be used interchangeably, but often accessories like yours fit slightly different is my experience. Happy to provide more detail if you’d like. the fitment issue is not due to your model, just differences in the rail brands/profiles. printed in Bambu petg hf.

It fit my Festool knock-off tracks very well. I also have Makita knock-off tracks and it fits those as well. I like the fact that I can still use my 3D printed track clamps.

5⭐️ sorry! i stopped 2 times the print, but it wasnt a model fault. Printed fine but cant give more than 3 stars according to bambu lab rules

Mostly fit on the 55" Wen tracks, but I had to use a screwdriver to pry the gap open a little and made a small crack in the plastic. Didn't affect the functionality though as it's still a very secure fit. May have been my print settings didn't allow for enough flex.
