Quad Lock Ring (metal hinge)

An alternative Quad Lock Ring for about 2 grams of filament. The ring snaps to 0° or 90°.

Of course not as sturdy as the original metal one by Quad Lock. The fit will probably deteriorate when taking it out of the case many times.

The hinge is made with Ø1.5 mm piece of metal, roughly 16 mm long. I clipped a small nail to the right length.

There is a pause at layer 12 at which point you put the nail in and resume the print.

March 2025: Added 2nd plate with slightly smaller outside diameter. This worked better for me with MAG-case.
