Description

The Sailor's chest from the sandbox video game Sea of Thieves.  This model requires very little assembly, simply connect the cover to the base and attach handles.  No glue is required.  The cover push connects to the base, do so while in the open position.  Depending on filament it may be a snug fit, push with even pressure. 

 

Silk filament is not recommended for the "metal hinges" due to inherent weakness with that type of filament which may cause the hinges to break.  

 

Print Time:

.16 layer with variable height enabled for cover

Colour - Matte Brown and Basic Silver Pla - ~14.5 hours

Single colour  - Matte Brown - ~ 5.5 hours

 

Print information:

  • Aux Fan off  - may warp bottom.
  • Classic - Wall generator
  • Silk filament is not recommended for the "metal hinges" due to inherent weakness with that type of filament.
  • This model does NOT SCALE well due to the hinge tolerance.   
  • Variable layer height is used for the cover to reduce artifacts on the rounded top however they are unavoidable.  
  • Normal supports are manually enabled for base and automatically enable for the cover.  The base only requires support on the bottom. Both only require supports on plate only.
  • Normal supports are preferred in this case as they are used for easy  clean removal.

     

    Don't forget to adjust flushing volumes for your filament.  

    For Bambu Lab - Matte Brown, Basic Silver    setting used were 0.6
