This flowing water ring is a fluid mechanics experiment design in metalwork by Japanese artist Yuki Sugihara. A uniform stream of water falling onto the ring's curved surface creates a water film.

Based on the official images, I have replicated one of the designs—a butterfly shape.
This butterfly exhibits different wing shapes depending on the water flow and height; with precise water droplet placement, one can achieve the effect of water not landing on the hand.
My testing suggests a gentler, slightly higher water flow.
The entire model weighs less than 3g, enabling easy printing. After printing both parts, simply glue them together.
The ring uses a negative mold. Refer to the video below to adjust the size to fit your finger; this print configuration has an inner diameter of 18mm.
