The sorting is fully automated. Just drop the batteries into the top. Grab a AA from the bottom tray or a AAA from the top tray. Reload as needed.

01/21/2025

New cover: Added cover-v2-easier-to-see-quantity.stl after much appreciated feedback about the difficulty of seeing how many batteries were loaded up, and not being able to see when the lever was “locked up”. I recommend printing this cover instead!
Screw and Command Strip Mounting Options: Added “battery-butler-main-body-with-mounting-holes-v2.stl”, a version with the option to mount with screws or via command strips. Requires small support for screw mounting holes.

I give it 4 stars only because it is hard to tell when you have the maximum number of AA batteries in it... if you have 1 too many, it keeps the sorter in the open position, so if you add AAA after that, they will fall into the AA channel, and cause jams. But other than that it is a great print!

printed the orange and clear with pla. The black is cc3d 72D tpu which works great in the ams. Used the Glacier build plate and 0.6mm nozzle

A truly cool design. However, I have one criticism. The side panel that clicks onto the body should have additional fasteners in the middle of the long side. As it is, it always bows outwards. See images: Printed in Bambu Lab PETG Translucent

Ahh i see what you are saying.... I am totally new to this and needed to click the appropriate profile then download.... I thought I was downloading everything when i hit the little arrow and download STL/CAD lol. Time to start a new one! Thank you for the advice!
