Side Mount Spool Holder With Bearings

I was trying to find a foldable spool side mount that I liked but nothing fit my needs exactly as I wanted.

This uses the original rear spool holder and brings it around to the side of the machine. To help it spin more smoothly it uses 608 bearings to help eliminate tension from the spool to the extruder for more accurate extrusion. 

The roller assembly is on its own separate plate, you can move it to all print on one plate but I prefer it on its own plate for better appearance after printed. 

Incase like me you do not have any m4 screws I have included a hinge pin that slide in the place of the screw.

To build this you will need

• 2 608 bearings
• 2 M3 Nut
• 2 M3x8 bolts
• 1 M4x45 bolt or optional printed hinge pin
• 2 M3x12 bolts
