IKEA Markus Chair Armrest Replacement

I didn't like the stock IKEA Markus armrests because I wasn't able to sit closely enough to my desk without the armrests hitting the desk, so I made this model to fix this problem.

This model was heavily inspired by TheBuildBay's design, however I made the actual rest have a larger surface space in order to support retrofitted cushions like these ones I use. (I'm sure there's cheaper equivalents available on other sites, feel free to share in comments if you find any)

Print Instructions

I personally printed this with 4 wall layers and a 3D honeycomb infill (gyroid or other 3D infills probably fine too) for added strength, and it seems to be holding up fine, even when I lean into it... YMMV.

Other Info

Designed to work with the bolts that my Markus came with. Since it's a pretty thick model, the bolts are fairly recessed by design in order to reach the hole.
