An unpowered bench drill, requiring a hand drill for operation.

Refer to YouTube channel USSA

<Parts List>

1. 1.2mm diameter, 300mm length spring * 1

2. 16mm diameter, 300mm length smooth shaft * 2

3. Unpowered bench drill spindle assembly:

   I used Type B12, connecting rod 90mm, diameter 10mm

   Bearing seat hole spacing 28mm * 21mm, M5 thread

   M10 smooth shaft stop * 1, prevents drill bit from falling

4. M5*22 screws * 4 (to secure the bearing seat to the slider)

5. M16 smooth shaft stop * 1 (optional, limits the lowest point of the drill bit)

If using a screw-on base, you will also need six M5 nuts and M5*25 screws (slightly shorter ones should also work)

For drilling the handle, high precision is required. The vertical drilling aid in the community doesn't work well, so I designed one myself. The actual effect is quite good.

It is recommended to use PETG or stronger material (my ABS had terrible warping, even glue couldn't hold it). The base uses 60% infill; if you find this wasteful, you can use a modifier to add blocks and change the handle grip area to 30% infill.

Two base designs are provided. I used the screw-on one, the effect is satisfactory. The other one relies solely on friction and needs to be hammered in (I didn't experiment with it due to material waste).

Two types of sliders are provided, with diameters of 16.2 and 16.4mm, choose the appropriate one depending on your printing results. I used the 16.4mm one, which is very stable at the bottom but has a little wobble at the top.
