I didn't need to print a support but did anyways. Nothing wrong with the model, but my wet filament messed with the finished product. Dry your filament!

How do you know the problem was caused by damp filament? I am new to this area and trying to figure out why the finish on my pieces is becoming irregular

stringing is a symptom of damp filament. you can also “listen” to hear the tiny water pockets “pop” when the filament is being pushed thru the extruder

Very cool solution, but I would consider dividing it into two parts, because it would be faster and there would be less risk of something going wrong 🙈 For some unknown reason, the filament at the top was printing incorrectly, so I'll try to print it again

had the same problem with PLA. The cause is that the two towers are too unstable at that height and start to vibrate… they are simply too unstable at a certain height…
