How did you use the AMS to print it in five colors

I have 2 ams hooked up. I know I've seen others print 5 colors with one ams by adding pauses in the slicer and changing one of the rolls of filament to the 5th color as long as the original color is finished. I'm not experienced enough to explain the whole process but I do know I googled it when I only had one ams. Hope that helps.
