M3x5x4 Round Threaded Brass Heat-Insert Nut (20PCS) - AB012

Description

I needed to mount something to a peg board but didn't have any small bolts or nuts but I did have M3 cap screws and heatsets, so I created these to save a run to the store.

Conical washer is in two sizes: 10mm and 15mm diameter.
Heatset nut is 10mm diameter.

Parts needed:
M3 Socket Head Cap Screw (head diameter 5.5mm or less)
M3x5x4 Heatset Insert

The intended direction for the screw to the heatset nut is through the bottom (heatset not visible) so that when tightening the heatset is pulled into the print (as show in the CAD image), using it the other way will also work but you have the potential when overtightening to pull the heatset out of the print.

Tip: after installing the heatset, run the screw all the way through starting with the exposed end of the heatset to clear out any mushed material blocking the opening at the bottom.
