Description

Useful closure lid that reuses a soda bottle cap for the larger Wide mouth Mason jar (tempered glass jars).

The lid has a built-in extended pouring neck with threads to reuse a typical soda bottle cap.

To determine your type of jar, the Wide mouth has a diameter of 3 inches (76 mm) *inside* of the glass jar neck.

Reuse your soda pop bottle cap : The pouring neck has threads for a typical soda bottle cap commonly found on the 2L bottles (The exact type of cap is PCO-1881 (Newer version of the PCO-1880).

Dimensions : Lid cap diameter is ⌀ 84.2mm   Pouring Neck is about 20mm long plus the threads for the PCO-1881 cap.

Lid is 1.6mm thick (makes it useful to print on 8 layers of 0.20mm).

Watertight : No.  My print does not leak if turned upside down for a short pour, but the lid is not liquid tight if jar is upside down for a long period.

Mounting: To hold the pouring lid in place, simply use a common jar metal band.

Printing: Can be printed with No supports, but the threads overhang (underneath) will not produce a visually perfect print under the threads, but the threads works fine with no support.  Since the threads 1881 are intended for injection molding, this is why the underneath is not perfect.  Must be printed on the bottom side down. Add a brim if it curls up.
