Description

Compatible with both Quest 3 & Quest 2 controllers.

The SoloStock VR gun stock offers a versatile and ergonomic solution for first person gaming experiences. Designed to enhance comfort and control, it provides a supportive platform for your weapon, allowing for extended play sessions without fatigue. The streamlined design leaves your front hand free for essential in-game actions like using medkits, throwing grenades, looting, and interacting with objects, while still providing the stability of a stock for aiming and weapon handling. This design strikes a balance between full-bodied stocks and controller-only setups, offering a comfortable middle ground for enhanced VR gameplay. Furthermore, the secure slip-in controller design means you can quickly and easily remove your controller from the stock to play another game or make adjustments without having to unclip, unscrew, or otherwise do anything.

I urge you to give the SoloStock a try!

The standard two-piece gunstock solution is clunky and unncessary. Leaving your front hand open is a true advantage in most situations. I recommend enabling “virtual stock” settings in whatever game you're playing while using this.

PRINTING:

I recommend printing in PLA+ and using gluestick or adhesive to prevent any warping as long and skinny objects are prone to warping. I have also printed in PETG with gluestick and it printed great.

UPDATE 1/10/25 - SoloStock V2.0

  • Lowered, reduced, and narrowed the overall profile
  • Increased the front grip angle by 5 degrees
  • Added texture to the buttstock for improved shouldering
  • Lengthened entire stock by ~4cm to improve headset clearance
  • Removed the need for supports when printing

Now prints in under 3 hours, uses only 100g of filament, and requires no supports!

To do:

Add left-hand print profile
Design adjustable length mechanism
Tweak print profile to fix print lines
