Description

3D printed Kirby Yarn Bowl! This is the perfect gift idea for someone who loves to knit or crochet, and also loves Nintendo. I made this for my wife who really likes to crochet. It is a bit smaller for full skeins of yarn to fit, but smaller balls of yarn will fit. If you want it to fit larger skeins it could be resized. Also this was designed to be color-change-friendly to limit plastic waste. The supports will end up going under the yarn lip which creates a bit of a grippy texture. Sanding the inside will help it be more functional after printing.

I probably should have done a slower print speed for my filament, but the print still came out ok despite the spaghetti supports 😅

I printed Kirby at 130% and the shoes/Eyes at 128%. for some reason I cannot fit the shoes in, it’s almost like the hole is smaller than the peg. if I could adjust the design I would taper the peg on the shoe so it starts small at the top and becomes bigger on the base of the peg. Otherwise pretty awesome design, just have to sand down the peg or something.

printed with no issues. Only improvement I would suggest is making a design that’ll print the whole thing together instead of in pieces as the supports for the feet were a bit weak and broke off but nothing some glue couldn’t fix so can’t complain too much. Only suggestions is to make it one single print and maybe offering bigger sizes to able to print from app. overall tho great work, looks amazing, and the wife still loved it so thank you! I will boost for further encourage and great work.
