Perfect Land Area for Aquatic Turtles – Designed and Tested by Me!
While searching for a suitable land area for my aquatic turtles, I couldn't find anything that met my needs. So, I decided to design and 3D print one myself. My turtles absolutely love it and enjoy their new resting spot.
I thought others might find this useful too, so I decided to share the design here.
Important Details:
- Suitable for aquariums with a width of 40 cm.
For wider aquariums, you can scale the model. - Material Recommendation: Print the model using PETG, as PLA might become soft under a heat lamp. I printed mine using PETG HF.
- Printing Tip: For the ladder, I recommend activating a brim to increase stability during printing.
- Notice: The model is designed for rimless aquariums.
Post-Processing:
The individual parts need to be glued together with superglue after printing. Be generous with the glue to ensure everything stays stable.
I placed a green reptile carpet inside using double-sided tape.
