1:2000 Scale RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 Cruise Ship Model, High-Precision Waterline Version

The RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) was a renowned luxury ocean liner. Launched in 1969, she served as the flagship of Cunard Line, a celebrated British shipping company, and was one of the world's most famous liners, an exemplar of British maritime elegance. The QE2 boasted a length of approximately 963 feet and a remarkable speed of 32.5 knots, distinguished by its unique profile and classic Victorian-era interiors. Upon its debut, it immediately secured the prestigious Blue Riband Award, a symbol of transatlantic supremacy. Throughout its illustrious history, the QE2 carried numerous notable passengers, becoming synonymous with opulent travel. With the decline of the great ocean liner era, the QE2 was decommissioned in 2008. Transformed into a luxury hotel, it now resides in Dubai, open for visitors to explore and experience its storied past. As a jewel in the crown of maritime history, the QE2 continues to captivate tourists and enthusiasts, a testament to its former glory and enduring charm.

This 1:2000 scale model of the Queen Elizabeth 2 measures approximately 15cm in length, meticulously replicating nearly all of the original vessel's iconic features, including intricate details such as the multi-tiered decks and lifeboats at the stern. Its accuracy is exceptional, and it's designed for single-plate printing, requiring no assembly. Given that I only possess an AMS Lite, I simplified the color palette to black, white, gray, and silver to ensure compatibility with my system.
I employed a default 0.4mm nozzle with a high-precision 0.12mm layer height, resulting in a print time of 9.5 hours. While time-consuming, the final product is impeccably rendered. For those pressed for time, a 0.2mm layer height is achievable, though it will compromise detail considerably. Exercise caution when removing the tree-like supports from the bridge section to prevent warping.
