Description

This is a light diffuser designed to be attached to the Olight 2, 3, 4, and possibly other models.

It is 3D printed using PETG materia.

To achieve smoother surfaces, a relatively large amount of tree support structures were used during the printing process.

Initially, the diffuser may fit a bit snugly when attaching it to the flashlight, but this tightness will ease up after a short period of use as the materials settle.

Two thinsg about the design: the wall thickness increases towards the middle at the top to ensure more even illumination. I also added a small hole, where hot air can escape.

printed in Pla seems fine. low light heat is fine. bit rough on one of the edges but….fine. nice little print.

Yes, the lower small bulge didn't work that way for you. maybe polish it a bit :D

If you have any concerns pls make a small hole in this print so that hot air can escape. I just uploaded a new version that already contains this hole.

sorry. the heat isn’t for a gas build up. LEDs can get really hot when run at high brightness. gotten scorched a few times when torch’s have turned on in my pocket by accident. my concern would be the PLA warping (I only use pla) although you did suggest petg in your profile. it’s a cool little design and appraise the effort of making the diffuser wall vaiable to get a nice smooth transition.

idea is great, but the print has much to be desired. X1C with Clear PTEG not sure how but the bottom layers were really rough, but the top ended up coming out nicely.
