Liahona Spinner Fidget Toy
Print Profile(1)

Description
In an effort to help create fun and sensory friendly fidgets that can be used during church by my kids and others, I have created the liahona spinner.
Bearings are needed for this model and these are what I suggest. - Link
The bearing type I like are 608 Open, Chrome Steel Bearing Balls and the measurements are 8x22x7
Steps to assemble
- Use a blunt thin object to fit the bearing into place in the top piece - you may need to pound in between the arcs to get it to fit, it will be tight, this is intentional.
- Carefully put the the hole of the bearing on the peg - do not place it all the way down - leave 1 mm or ½ mm space. If it is placed flush - it might not spin as well.
If the spinner is placed flush then you might be able to use a thin metal ruler or a butter knife to separate the top from the bottom a little but be careful not to break the peg.
The Liahona is tool from the Book of Mormon that was a sort of compass that worked by faith to help guide Lehi and his family to a land promised to him by the Lord.
While this toy does not accurately capture the size and complexity that the actual Liahona did, it does fulfill the part of curious workmanship :)
