RouterPack – A modular router accessory system

The RouterPack base plate

The RouterPack concept is based on a router plate custom designed to fit most popular compact routers and allow quick connection to multiple accessories. Guide rail adapters, offset handles, circle jigs, and more attach at the dovetail slots and secure with a thumbscrew. Dust extraction options attach with a ¼ turn system to the bottom of the plate.

No more hunting for an accessory fit your router and swapping base plates. If there's a RouterPack baseplate for it, RouterPack accessories will fit it.

The current RouterPack lineup:

more to come…

Compact Router Guide Rail Adapter – Hardware and Assembly

Required hardware:

1 – M5-08 hex nut

Assembly:

One M5 nut goes in the router plate front edge.  The small plug is tapped in to secure the nut.

A piece of contrasting filament is inserted into each of the four recesses on the router plate and trimmed flush

I have a hanwise router that almost fits the Makita 3709 base. Mounting holes are the same, but center hole doesn't line up. Either the mounting holes or center hole needs to move over 2.5 mm. I was going to do it but cant download the stls.

Hello Samshell. I’ll move it this evening. Are the fastener types (countersunk or counterbored) and depths for the Makita good? What is the router PN? If you want to do it yourself rather than wait, you can export the Stl from Bambu Studio. Select the plate in Bambu Studio, right-click, and choose "Export as STL" to save the file. If you do this, move the screws not the center hole to maintain compatibility with the rest of the ecosystem. ps I recognize your thin test part. I printed an entire stack of them to take to the big box stores to test the fits on the other plates when I first developed them. :)

I think the countersink, etc. is going to be fine. Didn't know you could export like that in Studio. Still have a lot to learn. I looked at it in fusion360, but I've never worked with meshes yet. Again, a lot to learn but I'm trying. If it helps the mod# is HWSJLXBJ-L001 HANWISE BRAND. Cheap nock-off, hopefully works. THANKS !!!

Do you think you can take the measurements from this model? https://makerworld.com/models/1104810

I would like to request a generic 62 x70mm bolt pattern base. Shown here is the Bauer 20V Plate (62.5x70.5mm) with the 20mm OD. The base JUST fits. I suspect until I seat a 62x70 mm base, any other measurements may not be definitive. Is there a preferred relative measurement?

Hello Mikhail, I've added a generic 62 x 70 plate with recentered mounting bolts. Let me know how it works out or if you need another adjustment. Also please let me know the model and part # of your router so we can label the plate for others once we get it working. Thanks!

The mounting bolts fit nicely now, so now its just the positioning of the center of the bit. See pics below.

Would one of these work for an Erbauer EPR710 palm router?

I don’t have a base plate for it right now, but I’ll make one. Give me a little while.

So, I was making a new base plate, but it seems to match the Bauer 20V plate. I'm like 97% sure it'll fit. Try scaling the Bauer 20V plate vertically to about .6 mm and printing a quick test template -- or you could just start the Bauer 20V plate and stop it on the 3 or 4th layer. If it doesn't fit let me know and I'll finish this one. If it does fit, let me know that too and I'll update the description for the next person. Thanks!

Here are a few pictures of a plate for the PorterCable router. The holes with the counter bore are for mounting the plate to the router. There are four of them. The first picture should have been rotated 90 degrees CW to match the router photo orientation.

🤔I’m worried that the mounting holes are going to be too close to allow the vacuum attachment and the router template portion to fit. I’ll see for sure when I get back to my computer later.

No problem. Hopefully they will, but if needed three holes may be enough.

Yeah. Helps keep it stable. It’s especially helpful because the DeWalt has a fat body that is hard to grip for a long time. Two handles allows me to use both hands without hand cramps.

I see the one handle is in the dovetail slot, but how did you attach the other handle?

I’m working on this one. of those 5 mounting holes, which ones are used for mounting the plate? (12 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 5 o’clock, etc) And which side would you like the handle/circle cutter/guide rail adapter to attach to?

Does not work with Dewalt DCW600. It bolts on, but doesn't have enough clearance to use the dovetail mount.

Hi! The plates are labeled by the manufacturer. There aren't any that are 62x70 though. I'm not certain what brand and model that is. If it's a trim router, shoot me the brand and model and I'll see if I can find the specs and make one.

I need a firm baseplate for my router it’s a Makita 3710, the plate should be 6mm thick and the hole in the middle 35mm, and the screwholes 4mm, with 62x70mm distance.
