Description

Futuristic Sci-Fi dice! They may not be the easiest to read, but they sure do look cool!

I saw a set of the commercially available ones posted on Reddit awhile back, and wanted a set of my own.

Original design is by Kacha, and the official set can be purchased here:

https://www.ako-dice.com/

I recommend printing multiple at once to make the cost more effective. Also, high infill to add some weight to these.

The pictures were printed on a resin printer, and then painted and clear coated. If printing this way, only print the SyFy_Dice piece so it has grooves to paint.

If slicing manually, import SyFy_Dice and all Insert pieces at once, then color the Inserts.

I had always wanted dice like these In the end I made them in white and also in red and blue They take a bit of time and you might think you use too much material because they have many color changes but we are geeks and we like them so we do not care By the way I think they roll more 1s than usual 😅 Speaking of which it is something I have yet to verify or at least they fail you at the critical moment (traitors)

You use a creative commons Attribution licence here, but I note you haven't attributed the Original Designer - Kacha from the kickstarter launched 10 years ago under AKO DICE: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kacha/ako-dice I pledged for a very nice set in Anodized Aluminium, and got a couple of glow in the dark ones as a bonus. They're still sold on his website, so there's probably a copyright claim there.

I have these posted on Printables too, where I did mention the Ako Dice. Apparently when I moved the models here, I missed that. Thank you for pointing this out! I've updated the description, crediting Kacha and linking to the commercially available, superior quality dice.
