Description

This is my version of a equal space divider tool. My goal was to design my first tool and do something useful.

Minimum space: 16mm
Maximum space: 120mm

The current version has 4 spaces but it can easily be scaled to any number of spaces. Tell me in the comments if you need a bigger or shorter version.

For the assembly instructions, check the attached file.

Note: When locking the pins (expect resistance), press each one individually with a straight object (e.g., a metal ruler) to reduce finger strain and ensure alignment.
Tip: Place the assembly on a flat surface and press firmly with your thumb and the tool for better leverage.

Need a box to store your new tool? Check my custom box here.

Great model! A small tweak to the design to ease assembly. I added an 'alignment zone' at the start of the female rivet to allow a better aligned initial start for inserting the rivets. This helps maintain the excellent tight clearances that you were able to achieve while helping avoid breakage and difficulty putting things together. That little feature takes this model from a 9.5/10 to a 10/10 IMO. I am glad to provide the .stls if you want them. Thanks again for a great model! Printed on H2D with PLA

Very cool. The tolerances on the pins are very tight. I ended up using my arbor press to set them easily and squarely. This model seems to work great and will be handy in the woodshop.

This prints great and is much more precise than the other similar models. Over a span of 10 inches, the middle markers are within 1/32". All the parts fit together tight. A pliers wrench can make it a lot easier to push the rivets together while keeping them flat.
