Description

The age old question… does anyone make refills for all those empty 2 piece Sunlu spools we've all got lying around? The answer is now a YES! Bambu does!

This version has integrated outer rim rings that bring the outer diameter of the spool to that of an original Bambu Spool. The model has been optimized to reduce filament usage and is only 33g more than my non-ring design.

V2 Update: V2 adds my new lightweight center hub which saves 14g of filament, a bit of print time, all without sacrificing strength!

Using my new 3 piece adapter set, you can now use Bambu Lab refills on your 2 piece Sunlu spools! Assembly is as easy as easy as using a Bambu refill on a regular roll, and it even fits perfectly on the AMS Lite!

Features:

3 simple parts printed on 3 separate plates.
Outer rings securely snap onto the rim of the spool.
Prints in under 3.5 hours and uses 133g filament (only 33g more than the orignal V1). By comparison, the printable Bambu spool uses 235g.
EASY installation takes seconds.
Works in both AMS and AMS Lite!
RF ID works as intended!
Save plastic from the landfill and reuse those Sunlu spools with official Bambu filament refills!
Hubs can be used as an AMS and AMS Lite adapter without the center sleeve on a regular Sunlu spool of filament!
