Description

A simple one print ‘aerodynamic’ glider!
Layer Height : 0.2mm
Infill : 100%
Infill direction : 135

Material : PLA; will be trying out in PETG soon
This print needs a good first layer!
The extra weight model requires a M5 10mm bolt in the front to add weight.

This lightweight 3D printed glider uses the limitations of 3D printing to create an ‘Airfoil’ which keeps the structure light but adds a huge value to the aerodynamics of it just like a regular aircraft. You will have to not use the full force of the rubber band as the weight
Flies very well INDOORS.

Interesting idea, but in my case it doesn't fly very well. Printed in PLA, 100% infill, added some weight to the nose, raised the rear flaps. You should add a video of how it flies in your case.

hello, I have uploaded a gif, please check. one thing which you will have to keep in mind is the weight of the head and the force applied, If you use full strength of the rubber band it will crash as it does not have enough weight in the front. Try launching it with half force and it will fly. I also have uploaded an updated file with more weight in the front and also a provision to use an M5 bolt to add more weight. Hope this helps, thanks :D

A littlebit fragile - didn't hold.

With PETG and a cooled off bed, the wings break at the fold points. With PETG and scraping it off while the bed is hot is best, but then need to be careful on how it bends. See the pics. This is with designers settings on a P1S with gold Bambu PETG basic. Will try again with PLA.

Printing is OK but doesn't really fly well
