Description

My chest strap broke so I designed a new one. I probably could've designed it a bit smaller, but I wanted it to be robust.

It's made for an Osprey Trekking 60l, but I think it would fit a lot more backpacks out there. I measured the rod where it's attached and depending on the fabric it's around 4,8-5mm in diameter.

The hole for the strap is 23mm high (my strap is 20mm and fits perfectly with little clearance).

There is a stop on layer 128 during which you can insert the strap and print the remaining few layers.

Printed in Bambulab PETG.

The installation is very fiddly, see this video first. Use a small plier to squeeze the rod at one point and heat up the 3D-Print with a dryer until it's a bit flexible. Then use pliers to attach the 3D-Print to the rod using the cut-out side first. After installing press it firmly together with your fingers, so that it get's the perfect size while cooling down.
