!READ BEFORE PRINTING!

One of the sliced models is only part of it, I had problem uploading whole model in 100% scale on 4 plates for some reason. Please Download STL and set everything according to the settings:

 

Print with auto tree supports

0,16 mm

Black PLA

7% infill

3 walls

 

50% scale model is complete and sliced properly :)

 

So basicaly my friend wanted Lich king helmet. So I printed one for him which I found on thingiverse. It is splitted in few parts so you will have to glue it afterwards alltogether. I printed it twice - once scaled down to 50% approximately to have it all at once in one print. I wanted to see how it prints. Afterwards I printed with settings which are presented here, not scaled down, human head size!

I opted for a layer height of 0.16mm and used black PLA filament from Aurapol, which resulted in a remarkably smooth and successful print. The choice of PLA, a popular and user-friendly 3D printing material, allowed for an excellent balance between print quality and ease of use.

 

It was over a kilogram of filament so I bought 2,5 kg spool to have same colour everywhere.

 

The 0.16mm layer height provided a good compromise between speed and fine detail, making the printing process efficient while still delivering a high-quality outcome. This object turned out perfectly, with clean lines, sharp edges, and an overall aesthetically pleasing finish.

In summary, this 3D print proved to be hassle-free and visually appealing, thanks to the choice of materials and print settings. It's a testament to the versatility and capabilities of modern 3D printing technology, demonstrating that even intricate designs can be realized without the need for supports when the right combination of filament and layer height is selected.
