Description

I created this custom wireless charging pad upgrade for my Volkswagen using a promotional charging pad I had on hand. This practical solution offers a sleek, factory-style look while adding modern functionality to your car’s interior.

The design replaces the removable factory panel located under the front console’s rubber mat. Simply swap out the original panel with this 3D-printed one for an easy, seamless upgrade.

For convenience, I included a notch in the design, allowing you to route a USB cable directly to the car’s USB port. This feature is perfect for those who prefer not to hardwire the charging pad, while also keeping excess cable neatly hidden within the panel.

The charging pad I used measures 70mm and fits snugly in place with a secure press-fit. Depending on your charging pad’s size, you may need to make slight adjustments to achieve the perfect fit.
