Power Supply Enclosure Box

This enclosure is a simple bedframe mounted box for a DC PSU. It  fits only two components: PSU & on-off switch.
I use it as a reading lamp & ambient lighting for the room.

Technical details:
Accepted PSU dimensions: up to 87mm x 58mm x 34mm (L-W-H)
On-Off switch cutout dimensions: 21.5mm x 31mm

AC entry hole is sized for a Corrugated Hose Cable of 16mm OUTER diameter and includes a snap-on ring to lock it in the enclosure.
DC exit hole is 6mm in diameter and situated in the TOP right corner.

The mounting holes are positioned to the side (most bed frames have a solid wood structure on the edge of the frame). The holes are made for screws up to 4mm in diameter.
The lid requires four 3mm x 20mm screws OR permanent glue.
DO NOT RELY on the press-fit feature! you don't want to risk the lid falling off and sticking your fingers in an enclosure with AC current!


This enclosure is designed for small power supply units! This means most of them deliver around 3.5 Amps MAX!
Don't MAX out their power rating! I don't recommend using them for more than 50% of their factory rating.
Carefully check the LED strip manufacturer's stated power draw / unit of length.
