Description

The LED ramp is for 5mm round high brightness LEDs. The LEDs should be wired in parallel and a biasing resistor should be used according to the chosen source and the LEDs used. Super glue and screws will also be needed.

I used this LED ramp on the RC model X9115 and X9116 and it looks good and has lasted quite a long time despite the accidents that happen while driving.

The calculation of the required resistor depends on the LEDs used and the input voltage (source).
In general: For the resulting resistor we need to know the input voltage (source), voltage and current of the LED diode and then the calculation is something like this:

The closest higher resistor I had was 10 Ohm so I used it.
Too high a resistance will reduce the brightness or completely turn off the diodes, but too low a resistance to the source can destroy the diodes. Do not use power supplies higher than 6V unless you have sufficient electrical knowledge!
