🚀 Exciting Upgrades to the Balloon-Powered Hovercraft! 🎈✨

The Watson’s Lab Hovercraft Mk5 has received another fresh gust of improvements! 🌬️💨

🛠️ Smoother, cleaner internal design
The annoying internal overhang issues have now been removed, making the model easier to print and giving it a neater finish. Less cleanup, more hover-y goodness!

🔵 Fewer holes underneath = longer fun
The number of bottom vent holes has been reduced to help the balloon stay inflated longer, meaning more time hovering and less time puffing up balloons. Win–win!

I hope these updates bring a smile to your face and a little extra lift to your day! ✨ As always, I’m endlessly grateful for your support, enthusiasm, and encouragement — it truly means the world to me. 💙🚀🎈

This is the design I’ve been wanting to make for ages. After weeks of tinkering, tweaking, and maybe a bit of muttering at my printer, I’m really proud to share it. Yes, it’s propelled by a real propeller, and yes, it’s powered entirely by the mighty puff of a balloon. Science meets fun!

My goal was to keep it fully 3D-printable — no extra bits or hardware store adventures needed. The parts fit together snugly, and if you’d like a bit of extra security, a tiny dab of glue will happily keep the propeller blades in line.

This model has been a true labour of love (with the occasional “why isn’t this working?” moment). In one of the photos you can even see it proudly perched on top of the many versions that didn’t quite make the cut. That’s progress, right?

If you have feedback or ideas for improvement, I’d love to hear them — I’m always happy to refine and revisit designs. Happy printing, and may your hovercraft adventures be smooth, slightly wobbly, and delightfully balloon-powered!
