Description

This model is designed to serve as a comprehensive reference for making design decisions related to printing in-place sliders, rotating knobs, and cylinders with journals on bushings.

  • The model allows you to access its features using a micrometer, as shown in the pictures below.
  • To rotate the knobs, you can use the notch located at the bottom of the knob with the help of a medium screwdriver. However, this will only work if the printer is capable of preventing the assembly from fusing together.
  • The vertical slim tabs located on the top of the knobs will only print if the slicer can pick them up and the printer is capable of printing them.
  • I've noticed that many other prints designed to test tolerances lack clearly marked units. To rectify this, I have added a clear inscription of the units and arrows that indicate the tolerance gap per side rather than the total tolearance. For instance, 0.1mm should be read as 0.1 radius-0.2 diameter.

I hope it helps with the design process.
