Description

This capo prints quickly and snaps in place with one hand. And it prints as one piece! To use, just open it up, slip it onto your neck and then ratchet the bar down to the desired pressure.

Post-Printing

After printing, you'll need to break-loose the hinge attaching the strap to the bar. The capo will work as printed, but putting a small piece of closed-cell foam (weather stripping works well) on the strap will protect your neck's finish and also make it easier to get the right pressure on the strings. Putting a thin strip of electrical tape on the bar where it contacts the strings will help keep it from sliding around if you bump it.

This printed well, any chance you can release a remix where the top is flat and not curved so we can add some custom text? I messed with the STL in Fusion but, frankly, I gave up as it's beyond my skillset at this point. Cheers!

You know you can also add text to surfaces (even curved ones) right in Bambu slicer. Prusa Slicer and Orca Slicer should also be able to do this.

I did try that first, but it looked weird. Likely my fault. I also wanted the text inset and not embossed. I'll try again. Cheers!

I have printed this twice now using PLA in the original printer settings. I broke the hinges both times trying to open it. Do I need to change a printer setting or am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance.

What filament is it designed to be printed in?

I'd recommend PLA, although PETG or other filaments might work OK too.
