Seeking a cool snack dispenser, I've encountered excellent models, but I prefer a design using real springs for better reliability. Rubber bands eventually wear out, and printed springs don't always work perfectly in the long run. Therefore, I've designed my own using standard compression springs.

In my model, the lid is designed for a snug fit on the inner part. Depending on the printer and quality, you may need to scale the lid accordingly. On my P1S, the lid fit perfectly.

The inner part cannot twist due to guide rails on the edge.

You can find the compression springs in this assortment:

It uses 3x 9.5x19mm springs.

However, 9.5x20/25mm springs also work.

Alternatively, you can use Maker's Supply springs (see parts list), briefly heating one end to insert them into their intended position.

In my print profile, I use PLA as a release agent for supports, though this is optional under “Supports”.

All parts are on separate print plates, enabling printing on an A1 Mini.

The parts fit together very precisely. Sometimes you need to shake the dispenser to get something out, but this hasn't bothered me in my use so far.

Enjoy printing or building!
