Wemos D1 Mini project enclosure
Print Profile(1)

Description
Project enclosure for Wemos D1 Mini and similar sized microcontrollers and relay module.
- Own compartment for relay module, mount with M3 screws
- Snap-fit slots for Wago connectors to keep project maintainable and avoid soldering of PCB's. 5 slots wagos for distributing 3.3V/5V and GND, 2 slots Wagos for other purposes
- Bezel insert for 0.96" OLED display, secured with M3 screw. You can design and print a bezel for your display as dimensions seem to vary. This is for generic Aliexpress oled display. Display snaps nicely into bezel.
- Case with surrounding groove for good fit. Attach cover with M3 hex screw
- Separate cradle for Wemos, you can print own adaptation if dimensions vary. Cradle is locked onto body with M3 screws
- A slot for transparent print next to display - you can place a LED behind this. A small square hole in the compartment divider for designing a led holder. This is on my todo list.
- 3 openings for sensor- and relay cables. Designed to work with M12 / PG7 industrial cable glands, but you can print your own.
- Opening to connect USB cable to Wemos.
Everything seems to snap and fit nicely in place, especially Wagos are nice and tight. They can be opened and closed when in place. This design allows wiring to be changed and updated, and to keep the dupont connectors on Wemos to update the setup.
My plan is to put 2xDS18B20 temperature sensors and control water boiler with the relay controllable through Home Assistant.
I printed this from PLA with 0.2mm layer height, except the radius part of lid with smaller layer height. This is designed to be multicolor print with the logo and transparent LED window.
The logo for the cover is from here https://www.svgrepo.com/vectors/smart-home/ , rest is my own design. The bezel was redrawn but inspired from few OLED projects in MakerWorld.
Edit. Uploaded pictures of wired device including led installation. Might upload the led foot at somepoint if someone needs, it probably needs some tuning to have good enough fit for publishing. But you can get an idea how I installed single ws2812b led behind the window.
